Stricken!

Malcolm has been laid low by rotavirus. He's taking fluids only a teaspoon at a time. In fact, although he hasn't yarked since Friday night, he's still refusing to drink from a cup or bottle. So to keep him hydrated, we're compelled to continue administering teaspoon after teaspoon of Pedialyte. And though using a medicine syringe for this makes it easier and less messy, it's still a tedious job.

A teaspoon is the equivalent of 5 ml. An ounce is 30 ml. So, for every eight ounces of liquid we get into him, that's... where are my math whizzes? You, over there with the pocket protector! Yes, you are correct: That's 48 teaspoons. It's a full time job.
