Please Don't Say "Banana" If You Don't Mean It*

Malcolm says, Thank God for Sign Language, because when he tries to say banana, it comes out "La-la-la." At least by signing it he gets his point across. Bananas are a favorite of his, he likes them fresh or even as those dried banana chips his Dad likes. And many of his books have pictures of bananas, which he'll gladly point out and identify. Sort of.

He doesn't get it from me

Malcolm thinks nothing is more fun than sweeping, sometimes trying to use two brooms at once. Scott and I can't figure out where it comes from. I mean, I'm the one with the refrigerator magnet that says "Dull women have immaculate houses." My housekeeping philosophy is "Just clean enough to avoid tetanus." Or, as Scott puts it, "Why clean it when it will get dirty again anyway?"
